New Camera

Most of the photos here are taken with my Nikon DSLR. I also have an old Sony digital camera that now seems very limited. As I wanted to be able to use macro I had the choice of a new lens for the Nikon, or a new digital camera that could do that. I decided on a new camera, which is not only cheaper than a new lens would be, but can also take videos and has 18 times optical zoom.

Today, before work was started on the garden, a goldfinch returned here to feed. I haven't seen one for a while so it was a welcome sight - and a test for the camera. Later on a dunnock spent a while feeding on the ground 30 feet away from where we were working - later there were two of them as one chased the other off. And a chance to compare the the size of the pictures with the new camera compared to the Nikon with 200mm lens.

There were, of course the usual multitude of starlings, house sparrows and 3 or 4 collared doves.
